Aosen Digitalization | Aosen Metal Products MES Project (Phase II) Kickoff Meeting Launched Successfully

On October 14, the kickoff meeting for Phase II of the MES Project implementation at Aosen Metal Products was held successfully. In attendance were Qian Xueping, General Manager of Yiheng Zhixing, together with Project Manager Zhang Dayun and the company’s expert team; as well as Pan Cheng, Executive Deputy General Manager of Aosen Special Steel; Zhao Jintao, Factory Director of Aosen Metal Products; Liu Saiguang, Director of the Digital Innovation Department; Liu Wei, Sales Director; and Zhao Zhu, Deputy Factory Director of the Steel Wire Rope Factory.

At the kickoff meeting, Zhang Dayun provided a detailed introduction to the Phase II project charter, clarifying the project's organizational structure and the responsibilities of all parties. He elaborated on the specific project plan, key milestones, and scientific implementation methodology tailored to the workshop's actual conditions. This enabled attending leaders to gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the project's overall framework and implementation path.

Qian Xueping emphasized in his address that high-quality data underpins the successful operation of the MES system. He instructed the project team to strictly comply with the company’s data governance framework, and to standardize and systematize all project-related data. He also called on all business departments of Aosen Special Steel to provide accurate data support, ensuring seamless alignment between the system’s functional blueprint and real-world frontline production scenarios, and thus maximizing the system’s full operational potential.

Liu Saiguang pointed out that the Metal Products Plant has successfully earned recognition as an Advanced-Level Smart Factory of Hebei Province, laying a solid information technology foundation for the subsequent implementation of the project. He expressed hope that both parties would further optimize the system architecture and reinforce the implementation team during Phase II, thereby enabling Aosen’s Metal Products Division to steadily progress toward its ambitious goal of establishing the first national-level smart factory in the metal products industry.

Liu Wei analyzed the necessity of launching the project from a market perspective. He emphasized that amid an intensely competitive market landscape, the in-depth integration of the MES system is pivotal to elevating production efficiency, product quality, and cost control—key factors that directly translate into strong market competitiveness. In the long term, this initiative will serve as a critical foundation for building Aosen Metal Products’ core competitiveness in the future, enabling the company to secure a more favorable industry position by anchoring its development around the core of ”smart manufacturing”.

Finally, Pan Cheng, Executive Vice General Manager of Aosen Special Steel, delivered the concluding remarks. He emphasized that the comprehensive advancement of digital and intelligent transformation represents an inevitable trend for the company’s development. He instructed all production workshops to break free from conventional mindsets, take proactive steps to engage in and support project implementation, and assign key personnel to participate throughout the entire process—ensuring that the outcomes of digital and intelligent transformation are effectively embedded across the full production chain. He further stressed that all project initiatives must be closely aligned with three core objectives: elevating product quality, optimizing production costs, and ensuring on-time order delivery. He called for the formulation of actionable implementation plans to strongly underpin the execution of the company’s overarching digital and intelligent transformation strategy.
