Aogang elevator steel wire rope is strictly developed and produced in accordance with the latest elevator industry standards. It is the core safety component of the traction system for high-rise passenger elevators and freight elevators.
The product is customized for the high-frequency reciprocating bending and smooth silent operation requirements of elevators. It adopts high-precision twisting process and exclusive proportion raw materials, with core advantages such as low elongation, high tensile strength, high fatigue resistance and high stability.
The production process adopts special elevator lubricating grease for infiltration and maintenance. The rope body has high dimensional accuracy and small roundness error, perfectly fitting with the traction wheel, running smoothly with low noise, greatly improving elevator riding comfort and the overall safety factor of the machine, suitable for long-term stable operation of various commercial, medical and residential elevators.
Elevator Wire Rope
Elevator Wire Rope is a specialized part of the Aogang steel wire rope range, manufactured for passenger elevators, freight elevators, commercial buildings, hospitals and other traction lift systems.
Unlike general lifting rope, elevator wire rope operates under frequent start-stop cycles and repeated bending over traction sheaves. Production control therefore focuses on rope diameter, roundness, structural elongation, lubrication, breaking force and consistency between ropes installed in the same set.
Available constructions include 8×19S, 8×19W, 6×19S, 6×25Fi and 8×25Fi, with diameters from 6 mm to 25 mm. FC, IWRC and WSC cores are available. Selection must be based on the lift design, sheave groove, sheave diameter, suspension ratio, travel height, speed and original rope specification—not elevator capacity alone.

Double deformation shaping process: Adopts pre-deformation + post-deformation precision processing to completely eliminate residual stress of the rope body, eliminating running jitter, strand loosening and twisting deformation.
Pre-tensioning shaping process: Overall pre-tensioning treatment before leaving the factory, effectively reducing structural elongation rate. No secondary running-in is required after new elevator installation, and the size remains stable during long-term operation. The elevator runs smoothly throughout without jitter or stagnation.
Special grease infiltration: Filled with special long-acting lubricating grease for elevators, reducing wear and noise, rust and corrosion prevention, suitable for high-frequency friction working conditions of traction wheels.
Full-item precision testing: Full inspection of rope diameter tolerance, roundness, breaking force, bending fatigue, etc. before warehousing, ensuring elevator safe operation standards.

An 8×19S rope and an 8×19W rope may have the same nominal diameter, but their internal wire arrangements differ. This affects bending behavior, outer-wire contact and interaction with the traction sheave.
For replacement projects, the original construction should normally be maintained unless the lift manufacturer approves a change.
The actual rope diameter must match the traction sheave groove. A rope that is too large, too small or inconsistent with other ropes in the set can result in uneven contact and unequal load distribution.
Some elevator ropes use dual-tensile wire combinations to balance external wear, internal flexibility and overall breaking force. A higher tensile strength is not automatically a better choice.
FC provides cushioning and lubricant retention. IWRC and WSC provide greater structural support. Changing the core may affect diameter stability, flexibility, traction and groove contact.

Elevator Wire Rope Application
Supports order-based exclusive customization, can customize steel wire rope structure, diameter, dual strength ratio, fixed length as needed; can customize special lubricating grease, special rope core, anti-corrosion galvanized styles, suitable for different elevator speeds, loads and project acceptance standards.
No. Elevator rope has specific requirements for diameter consistency, structural elongation, bending fatigue, lubrication and traction sheave compatibility.
Not without technical approval. The original design, sheave condition, groove profile and lift manufacturer’s requirements must be checked first.
No. Excessively high wire strength may change bending performance and contact behavior. Use the strength combination specified by the lift manufacturer.
Ropes in the same set should have consistent construction, diameter, length, production condition and service history. The maintenance provider should determine whether the complete set must be replaced.
Galvanized elevator wire rope may be available for specific environments, but the surface, traction performance and applicable standard must be confirmed.
Provide a rope sample, cross-section photograph, measured diameter, number of strands, core type, traction sheave information and lift operating data.
Adopts special precision protective packaging for elevator ropes, targeted anti-twist, anti-deformation, moisture-proof and rust-proof, strictly ensuring rope body straightness, dimensional accuracy and factory state, eliminating transportation stress affecting installation accuracy.
